AG Motivation

Why did you choose this website in particular and how do you, after doing so, come up with the energy to read it from beginning to end? You certainly have an answer to this question. Maybe you are curious or interested in motivational psychology, you want to contact one of the employees or you just want to entertain yourself during a break.

Individuals strive for different goals at different times - with specific endurance and intensity. Motivation is a complex dynamic framework of effects that we try to understand out of its functionality. Basic functions of motivation are goal orientation, selection, activation and endurance regulation of behaviour (to name just the essentials). In this context, the central concern of our research team is the identification of motivational mechanisms (such as drive, reward, motive, incentive, goal) and the examination of their meaning in the organisation of human behaviour. Thereby, the numerous human-environment-relations can be classified in various subject areas (such as hunger, sexuality, power, achievement, affiliation), which are based on relatively common motive systems. These systems have, according to our hypotheses, a genetic basis, which can be modified by experience.
